Call of Duty 4 Crash map. Sroll down for a few tips. Submit map tips in our guides forum to see them here!

Crash Overview

Crash is a fairly small map with a few great sniping spots and is a pretty intense map for all the game modes. It is also a great map for heavy suppressing fire. It is set in a small Middle Eastern town where a helicopter was shot down and smashed in the center. The area was also hit with small artillery, blowing several of the nearby buildings appart and leaving debris everywhere. Watch your corners on this map more than ever, lots of nice spots to hide in this very fast paced map.

Crash Chokepoints

On crash there are three major chokepoints where the majority of the fighting occurs. You should control these areas if you want to win the match. Know and defend/attack these three chokepoints at all costs.

1st Chokepoint: Alley

This chokepoint is the long alleyway on the south side of the map. Running down the alley without caution or a smokescreen will almost always result in you being killed. There is usually someone camped in the alley behind a barrier or posted on the roof overlooking. Because of the confined area, grenades thrown here are even more dangerous because they have a knack of bouncing off walls straight into your lap. Despite all the heavy fire, this is a greatly trafficked area. Holding the alley during an objective-based game will make winning the match much easier. Don't ever spend too much time in the ally, but instead hold your positions on either end of it and use good comms with your teammates.

Crash Chokepoint

A great place to shut down the alleyway in on the balcony in the back corner. Perch yourself up there with a few claymores or a teammate covering your back and you are in control of that entire area.

Crash Strategy

With a sniper rifle, not only are you able to see down the alley but also across to the three-story building. This is a little known fact and snipers on the third-story building will more than likely never see you, so spot-checking this location during a TDM or FFA type match is good to see if you can use it.

Briddlers Crash Guide

Background:
This is a guide for the map Crash. The map Crash is centered around a downed helicopter. There are many places to hide and snipe, and many ways to flank the opposing team. There are also multiple chokepoints that, if controlled, can almost guarantee a victory.

General Strategy:
Before playing on this map, I recommend that you go into a private match and search out all choke points, sniping spots, etc. Make sure to work out a general strategy you will use when you are playing this map. When you first spawn, use your strategy right away. If you are sniping, go to a sniping spot. If you are running n gunning, go to an area the enemy will most likely be (near where they spawn). The map isn't that big, so finding an enemy isn't hard. This map is haven to all types of players. Rushers, snipers, stealthy players. Everyone can excel at this map.

Sniping Spots:
There are many sniping spots on this map. So many that no matter where you are, you will be near one. Look at the labeled map below for reference.

Crash with Labels

1) The first sniping position is to the right of the Op For spawning point and is known as the hotel.. From there, you can cover the alley (back alley) and the 3-story building (Tower). This is where I snipe, but it is hard to reach right away if you are a Marine.

2) The second sniping spot is at the end of the back alley. This is close to the Marine spawn, and can be used at the beginning of the match to stop enemies from coming down the alley. The enemy will come, and come, and come again. This is from experience. They just keep coming. Yes, they eventually give up, but by that time I have a 5-kill streak.

3) The third sniping position is in the tower. I never use this, because everyone knows about it. Also, it is a hot spot. The enemy wants it, your team wants it, and this large amount of activity might not be good if you're a sniper. Also, if someone is in the hotel, they can take you out, but you won't ever be able to see them. However, even with all of its flaws, it is possible to dominate from this position. You can the area around the helicopter wreck, the blue building, the arcade, the slope. and the rooftop.

4) The fourth sniping spot is the blue building. From here, you can cover the tower, helicopter wreck, main building, the tower, and the shop. I don't really know much about this spot, as I don't use it, but I have seen people that use it and have lots of success.

5) The fifth sniping position is the shop. From here, you can cover the arcade, the blue building, the back alley, and the rooftop.

6) The sixth sniping spot is the rooftop. The rooftop is very close to the Marine spawn, so is easy to get to from the beginning. From here, you can cover the tower, the shop, the backstreet, the area near the helicopter wreck (to a certain extent), and the factory.

7) The seventh, and final, sniping spot is the factory. It is located directly next to the Marines spawn and can cover the backstreet and rooftop.

Chokepoint:

The main chokepoint is the alley. Try to control it. If you don't the enemy basically has access to the entire map. They can also flank you and your team with ease.
