Ultimate CoD4 Combat Guide Part 4
Section 4: n00b Tactics. Yes believe it or not, i DO have tactics for countering n00b tactics such as n00b tubing (different than GLing, which is an advanced players tactic) martyrdom last stand and juggernaut.
Juggernaut: Here's an idea, SWITCH TO A STOPPING POWER CLASS. Juggernaut was designed so they could take one extra bullet. Stopping power was designed to take one less bullet to kill an enemy. Using stopping power against a juggernaut makes it so he dies as fast as infinity ward meant him to. Also, grenades work wonders on juggernauts.
Martyrdom: Another idea. Don't rush a persons body the second you kill them. Wait a couple seconds in case of a grenade.
N00b tubers: Switch to a stealth class and use backroutes to hunt the bastard down. As most n00b tubers are inexperienced they will never see it coming. Just do the same thing you would do if you were a ghost hunting snipers, except go towards the sound of the n00b tube going off.
Last Stand: Harder to counter on hardcore. Basically if i die by a last stander in a round, i make sure i put one exztra shot into every person i kill when they hit the ground just for good measure.
Honestly, n00b tactics arent that hard to counter. They are not cheap. They have weaknesses. And all of them (except martyrdom n most cases) have tactical applications. Learn to deal.
Organized team tactics: This guide will discuss how to counter organised teams. No solo tips here boys, you can't take on a fully organised tactical team on your own.
Against ghost teams: Hole the team up in a large building. Stack everybody so every entrance is watched by at least one guy, and you can fire out windows. Make sure it is airstrike proof (solid roof)
Against Juggernaut teams: Switch to stopping power classes and flanking tactics to bring them down. Stopping power will cancel out Juggernaut, making your job easier.
Against sniper teams: You can switch to a full ghost team and stick to back alleys, sneaking up on the snipers here and there. Or, you can have the whole team go juggernaut to make it harder for the snipers to one shot you.
Try to get basic moves down like pincer hook right and hook left for your team. These will help greatly against teams that use actual tactics and coordinate fire. Also make sure you stack your team in a balanced matter. Basically one sniper, two assaults, one or two ghosts, one or two LMG's.
And the reason i half assed this is ive alwready written nearly every other team tactic known to man in my other guides lol. These were just situations ive run into that i thought needed addressing.
Section 5: Things to think about when playing.
What happens when you use martyrdom or juggernaut? Or a n00b tube? Does your opponent get angry? Does he become less confident? Think about the way your perks, and actions, affect the enemy team psychologically. For example, if your entire team is UAV jammed, it usually causes fear and paranoia in the other team. This means they are jumpy, and will probably not have as much control under pressure.
What weapons are they using? Notice what weapons the enemy is using, they have a p90 engage from long range, a sniper? flank and get close. Dont wait for the killcam to tell you what gun they have.
Just think about things that affect them in real world. Emotions happen during games, when im angry i dont play as well because adrenaline masks me a bit. Makes it harder to focus, i juts sit there having this internal conversation about how much i hate Juggernaut snipers with 50 cals u know?
Just a little something to think about.
The end.
