AK74u Attachments

Red Dot Sight
Red Dot Sight - 25 Kills
A lot of people like to use the red dot site on the AK-74u. I personally like it over the iron site that it is originally given. Still the red dot sight helps you line up your shots a little easier. It also allows the use of Perk 1 while you use it.

Silencer
Silencer - 75 Kills
This is another attachment that you will see a lot on this weapon. The silencer has a minor reduction of damage and lose of range. On the other hand though you wont show up on enemy radar upon firing this weapon with the silencer. This is good for if you want to use the Overkill perk with a sniper so you can still have firepower but not be detected.

ACOG
Advance Combative Optical Gunsight (ACOG) - 150 kills
I prefer the Red Dot Sight over this attachment, but I have seen a select few people who have been useing it, whether they were experimenting or actually utilizing it I do not know. The range on this gun will allow you to hit soldiers whom you can see, although the recoil may give you some problems. As a general rule for assault-rifle-sniping, you should always use shorter burst of fire to take out the more distant target, or you will just give away your position and waist your time and ammunition.

About the AK74u

An SMG version of the AK-74, the AK-47's successor. As the most powerful SMG in the game, this gun is good for pretty much the same function as the Mini-Uzi, with more attention needed for lining up your shots to compensate for the slower fire rate.
Unlocked: Rank 28 1st Lieutenant.

AK74u Perks

Bandolier Perk Image
Bandolier - This is a good perk to use if you are going to use the Double Tap perk. Because when you use Double Tap you go through your ammo a lot quicker so you will need more of it.

Double Tap Perk Image
Double Tap - This perk will have your gun put more rounds down range faster. Now I would use this with the Bandolier perk and Steady Aim. This perk would most likely help in an indoor/close range fighting, because the more rounds down range the more likely to get a kill.

Steady Aim Perk Image
Steady Aim - This perk will increases you hip fire accuracy. I would use this perk with the Double Tap so that when you fire your weapon the rounds land on target and not some where down range when you need it most in close combat.

AK74u Maps

Shipment - Out of all the maps this map would probably be the best to use the AK-74u on. In this map there are lots of places that will require that you put rounds down range fast and accurate. This gun along with the perks above will help ensure that you get what you want out of that gun.

Showdown - This map also has some tight quarters that will require a nimble weapon. This map will involve lots of different mini battles going on throughout the map. The weapon you want will be one that when you hit some body they will more then likely not be getting back up. This will make it easier for you to run from one battle to another without being killed by someone that you didn’t kill and ended up in last stand.

Vacant - This map has a lot of indoor fighting. For this map you will want to be able to get where you need to go fast but with out reducing the ability of your weapon. Here you will want to watch those corners and dark spots because someone will more then likely be wating for you. When you encounter this you want to make sure that since they had the element of surprise you will be able to put them down in a shorter amount of time then they will get you.
