CoD4 Weapons: Shotgun Guide
Guide by h.a.d.o - This is my 4th guide and well i need to contribute something to
the site otherwise ill get kicked out of the clan lol. So here is my guide to
Shotgunning
Ima start with the basics.
Now i see alot
of people run out like rambo and just get shotdown in there path but thats because
the shotty is a specialty weapon and is not a good weapon for noobs.
There are lots of good ways to use the shotgun and ill write a few in this
guide.
The thing most people think is which shotgun is better?
Well i found that they are equal in their abilities depending on how you use
them.
My strategies work with both shotguns so its up to you which one you
like.
I mainly use the m1014 but alot of the time i have to reload right behind
an enemy sniper so thats when the w1200 is handy. But here are my strategies:
The "rambo" strategy:
YES, the rambo strategy can
be pulled off if your fast and have the right perks.
Perks i suggest for the
strategy are:
Steady Aim, UAV Jammer, Double tap, stopping power, matyrNOOB
and Sonic boom.
Now the rambo strategy isn't running through the
street with ten thousand snipers and getting shotdown. Thats just stupid.
The rambo strategy is running through a building and dropping anyone that gets in
your way with one shot and reloading while on the move. All but just firing from the
hip and quickly aiming at the noob running towards you.
The rambo
strategy only works in buildings like vacant, the apartments in bloc, the buildings
in backlot, and any place you can run through a building shooting down anyone in you
way and not stop running until ur killed.
This strategy is kinda bad but
if your good at firing from the hip accurately, running and reloading and quickly
turning to you target it can be effective at moving through buildings quickly or
getting your killcount up quickly.
The SNEAKY strategy:
The sneaky strategy is finding back roots to snipers or any opponents and shooting
em in the back of the head then hiding in a corner so when the person who saw your
shot on the radar runs up to kill you, you come up behind him and shoot him in the
back of the head and continue until your either killed or you wipe everyone out. You
must have UAV Jammer for this the 3rd perk is up to you.
This strategy is
good for getting headshots as shotguns have rare chances of getting headshots.
The stun and gun strategy:
You must have the 3x stun nades for
this strategy.
The stun and gun is a simple and effective way to get
headshots or kills.
Its simply seeing a group of enemies and chucking a stun
nade at them and running up nice and close for a shot at the head.
The
shoot whenever you see the enemy:
This one can be quite effective but no
matter how simple it seems it can be harder then finishing The mile high club on
veteran with nothing but a knife.
This is simply running around the map
shooting when you see the enemy. kinda like the rambo one but this requires more
skill.
You need to be extremely fast and be highly skilled with a shotty to not
get killed before you get close enough to pop a barrage of led into the left part of
their left nut.
Well that was some of my strategies but im too lazy
to write the rest.
Here are some of the classes i use with the
shotgun.
All classes have these same things ill just say the perks
any shotty
deagle
stun or
flash
perk 1: anything
perk 2:UAV jammer
perk 3:steady aim
stun x3
stopping power
steady aim
anything
sonic boom
matyrnoob
anything
UAV Jammer
Dead
silence
anything
double tap
steady aim
anything
double tap
extreme conditioning
anything
stopping power
extrememe conditioning
anything
sleight of hand
steady aim
anything
sleight of hand
extreme conditioning
Its up to
you to experiment and find what works for you though.
You might
have noticed alot of my classes have steady aim but thats because aiming down the
iron sight isnt to smart when an enemy is runnign at u firing everything hes got.
i would also recommend grip with the shotty to add up on accuracy.
Final notes:
Be quick to aim, reload, run and move.
try get
behind enemies rather then running right into their field of view. (common sense)
When using the m10 dont unload all your rounds on 1 guy, 1 shot should kill
him.
Get use to firing as soon as you see something move in front of
you.
dont try to shoot that guy thats firing at u with an assualt rifle
from the otherside of the map.
RDS is pretty much useless on a shotgun.
as with aiming down the sight when people are charging at you.
Well thats my guide to the shotgun. it aint that great because im just trying to
quickly contribute something lol
