People love the tanks. In every game that I've played so far with the tanks, people always flock to them. You can use this to your advantage! If some of your teammates jump in a tank, follow them and hide in the shadows. Inevitably the enemy will attempt to take out the tank and have a few ways to do this, which usually leaves them open for attack. For example, if an enemy throws a grenade, sticky, or try to bazooka the grenade they're usually left in the open (as they need a clear shot), and become easy targets to pick off. The bazooka takes a bit of time to reload, and as it takes a few shots to kill a tank with it, people will usually reload immediately, which give you your opportunity.
If you're alone in the tank switch seats within the tank by hitting the triangle on PS3 (not sure on the xbox) and you'll be repositioned to an MG, which is much easier to maneuver and take out enemies. This does leave you vulnerable, so don't forget to cover if you notice gunfire in your direction.
With some practice you can get quite good with the turret. Also, don't forget to run people over! I love it! I've found that on maps such as Seelow, you can use the walls to your advantage, and kind of angle them off to run over people. Or if I see them running towards the back of the tank to plant a charge, I'll just hit back on the controller and run them over. I went 22-4 using a tank the other day.

Follow the dogs. When you or one of your teammates unleash the dogs, follow them! A lot of times they will lead you to packs of enemies, which are then forced to either fend off you or the dogs. If you kill an enemy before a dog gets to it, the dog will continue on to another victim. I don't consider this a kill stealing, as honestly, if I saw a teammate in CQC with an enemy I wouldn't hesitate to kill the enemy and save my teammate's life, and essentially the dog is your teammate at that point. Also, if the enemy is able to kill the dog, you've still got an easy kill since all of their attention would have been on the dog at that point.
If you are able to call the dogs in on Hardcore, you'll virtually be guaranteed 10 kills from them. All they have to do is attack the enemy once, and they'll be dead, with dog left to roam for their next victim. Plus, in a lot of hardcore games, people tend to use more bolt action rifles, which leads to less spray and pray maintenance of the dogs, especially if more than one are coming!
While playing HQ, as I bet a lot of you are as you're trying to level up before the holidays, watch your map and the HQ indicator after the dogs have been called, as the enemy fends off the dogs while trying to capture the base it will let you know how many enemies are attempting to capture.

Be defensive immediately upon respawning. The game tends to spawn you near a teammate. While this may seem like a good thing, I can't count the number of times I've spawned, saw my teammate run by with an enemy on their tail, who then shoots me before I have a chance to react. Before you run to pick up that second weapon off the ground to replace your pistol, check your surroundings.

This may seem like common sense, but I'm listing it anyways since we have an influx of new forum members, and undoubtedly this type of game may be new to some. Take your time! I know that after getting a new game you want to get into the guts of it, but I'd highly recommend taking some time, and setting up some private matches and exploring the maps, as well as weapons and perks as you unlock them. For example, Tabun gas is wicked. It's like a stun grenade on steroids, and completely renders your opponent helpless unless they have the gas mask perk on.I heard some people in the lobby saying that they weren't going to try it because they thought it'd be like a stun grenade. I assure you it's much different. If need be, invite in some friends, and take the opportunity to learn together. Taking the time to do this can be invaluable, as you come to learn the various chokepoints, hiding spots, and weapon combos that can take you to the next level.
I'll keep adding, as I think of other WaW multiplayer specific points.
