What is a post:

It’s the way of the forum, it’s the way people communicate. There’s many kind of posts, helpful, communicate, new topic, flame and spam. All these kind of posts added together makes a forum a forum.

•   Helpful Posts

   o   These post help new comers or oldies if they need a helping hand (or post)
      •   These are most likely to get you karma see this link (http://www.cod4central.com/forums/cod4-guides/a-guide-about-writing-cod4-guides-(please-read-this-before-submitting-a-guide-)/0/
        •Or to make it seem clean do this:

[url(=)Web Address of Your Choice] Then Type a Link Word Here [/url]

All thogheter it looks like this: Example

   o   These post mostly imply guides, news and updates    
      •   Helping people can also make you new friends


•   Communication

   o   These are the kind of post that are just quick conversation
      •   This is one of the top ways to get your post count up

   o   This can make you great friends
      •   This and playing with them online

   o   Most topics on this forum are just communication topics


•   New topics

   o   These are the start of posts

   o   They are very simple to start
      •   Just make sure that it’s a topic and not a random spam topic


•   Flame ‘n’ Spam

   o   Ahh one of the reasons for moderators

   o   These will get your post count up very fast
      •   But will lose you a lot of respect
 
  o    Flame and Spam includes
 
      •   One liner’s
      •   Smiley spamming
      •   Cussing at someone
      •   Causing an uproar in a topic

About Karma


Karma is a way to give people that contribute good posts or topics to the forums thanks.

To add to a persons karma, you will need a minimum of 5 posts, you can add karma by the (+) symbol for a great post, topic, contribution, helpful post, etc  A total karma is displayed on the left side on posts. (Note:  You can only add karma to the same person once an hour.)

Some Ways To Receive Karma:

Post: This is one of the key ways to get karma, there are many kinds of posts that can get you karma


•   Helpful Posts
 
 o   If a new member / old member is in need of tips, advice about something there are two ways you can help them.

      •   Post a link to the information they need

      •   Type it yourself, typing them yourself will get you karma more often than typing a link


•   Guides


   o   Guides about a certain gun is helpful to people because the person viewing your guide sees a different opinion what to use on the gun

      •   Make your guides interesting and never dull

      •   Make it different than other guides if your doing a guide about a topic already done

      •   A danger zone would include M16, M4, etc..Popular guns
   
  o   Never criticize anyone who doesn’t agree with your guide (they have their own opinions)

      •   That could make you not receive karma


•   What NOT To Do With Karma
 
o   Having karma is a huge responsibility and should only be held for the best moments

      •   Meaning not when your friend wants you to give it to him



•   Spray and Pray Karma 

o   Do not just click everyone’s (+) just for fun

      •   Meaning they should earn there karma


•   Random Karma
 
o   Do not randomly click on someone’s (+)

      •   Do that if they have a helpful post or a guide



End notes:

Karma should be held for the right person. Like sex 

Just don’t give friends karma because your friends.

Karma is a shows how respected you are.
