Hello I'm new to C4C and this is my first Guide...ever. If you see something wrong with this guide please tell me, or somebody who can fix it because I probably don't know how.By the way this will be sadly a brief guide in comparison to others so you may want to take what you get here and combine it with other guides to get multiple and possibly more stable opinions.

Well lets get started with the W1200.

Even though this shotgun is pump actin doesn't mean it's worse than the M1014. With it's larger clip you don't have to constantly reload. It also has just a little more power than the M1014, which means you have just a little better chance of one shotting someone. This can come in handy if you tend to run out of ammo with the M10.

Well, now on to the M1014. I tend to like this better than the W1200. Mainly, because I hate being in a position where I shoot one guy and his friend i was about to shoot kills me because I'm pumping my gun. This gun makes up for the small difference in power from its counterpart with speed. I usually kill in one hit anyway with this gun, but on the occasion it doesn't it's usually no harm done to me other than having lost one more bullet of ammo. One HUGE problem is the clip size, you must always reload after your opponent(s) is(are) dead or it will come back to haunt you.

Part three, Tactics for both(if what I'm saying refers to only one of them I will say). Take side roads that are not too open or go through buildings. If you run through the middle thinking your Terminator you will be brought back to reality in seconds. Perks can help but the beauty of shotguns are that they are customizable. Stopping power is the only thing I might suggest, There are people who think it increases range, all I know is it makes killing easier. Also Double Tap can be added to the W1200 to speed up the pump action for those who like the W1200 but need it be a little faster.(Thanks to Jester for pointing out that I forgot Double Tap) . You may want to experiment with maps and perks to see what works for your style of fighting. Don't think that only vacant and wet work are the only maps that shotguns accel in. Matter of fact I played an entire match with M1014 on Crossfire today and got a k/d ratio of 24/4. Well the only two maps that I would never try is Overgrown and Bog. On Overgrown the snipers will laugh and will happily take your head from you and hand it back on a silver platter. Bog will be a little better but you will be largely be restricted by snipers and guys with assualt rifles.

Some of the classes I want to suggest are:

gun: M1014, pistol: deagle, spec.nade: stun, perk1: 3x special nades, perk2: stopping power, perk3: extreme cond./martyrdom.

gun:M1014, pistol: deagle, spec.nade: stun, perk1: 3x frag, perk2: sonic boom, perk3: martyrdom.(yeah it's n00bly but it gets the job done, please actually use grenades tactically, as in, no random grenades.

gun:W1200, pistol: deagle, spec.nade: stun, perk1: your choice, perk2: double tap, perk3: once more your choice.

gun:shotgun, other gun: sniper, spec.nade: choice, perk1: claymores, perk2: overkill, perk3: iron lungs.

gun: M1014, other gun: W1200, spec.nade: stun, perk1: bandolier, perk2: stopping power, perk3: whatever( for the survivor men)

Here's roughly what you need to have basic knowledge on the use of shotguns in CoD4. (reminder: Experiment with shotguns, you might be surprised on what they can do when you have a good combo of gun and perk mixtures.)

Pretty good first guide demon dump (most people are going to call you dump, one of our main members already has the name demon).

I would suggest going a little more in depth...like how double tap affects not only the reload time, but the pump action time of the pump action shotty. That kinda stuff. And welcome to C4C Smiley

Good guide.
Maybe go into some classes you like for each weapon, or when you should be using your pistol and when you should have the shotgun out.

I'm slightly confused on the sniper aspect you mean. Do you want info. on counteracting snipers or the overkill use of a shotty/sniper(to Briddler)

Feonian that's a good idea I could throw a few of the successful ones in.

I'm almost certain he was joking about the sniper aspect of it. Seems to think you use them as snipers if I'm not mistaken.  Undecided

Ok, how was that for some of the classes. as a matter of fact i use the n00b one and people I play with don't notice what I use. And that's because n00bly weapons used by non-noobs are ok Grin

Sniping is kinda my specialty, so in this class:
gun:shotgun, other gun: sniper, spec.nade: choice, perk1: claymores, perk2: overkill, perk3: iron lungs.
the sniper should be a Dragunov. Send me a message if you need an explanation.

Actually, Feonian, I usually happen to be a sniper, but shotguns actually can be related to mobile sniping almost. You take the same routes, only your shooting up close instead of far away.

Ah ok. I thought that was just a standard sniping class. My bad.
