Destro I actually agree with the way you buy/build PC's from a cash bang-for-the-buck basis. I also never buy cutting edge components because they are too expensive and within a relatively short amount of time will be far cheaper.
That being said the fact remains that if someone has the money to spend and chooses to buy the very latest components in a system then more power to them and the system we have been discussing is a good one.
well I actually can EASILY spend $3000 too, but I dont find it logical, instead I would buy another console, buy more games that actually MAKE a difference

I can't spend it... well I could but not easily. Even if I could easily spend it.. oh and I suspect that is more than a $3000 machine unless the price was quoted and I missed it - I wouldn't. I would get too upset in 6 monthes when it would be worth half it's original price.
But that's me

yea, it being the half price is what makes me stop. On the world of computers, everything gets half of their old price in a year. And the difference between they card that is half of the price of your card when you baught isnt anything great.

Everything gets to half price except the damn 8800 GTX Ultra.
Still at 300 pounds.
Anyway, I know Crysis isn't worth spending over $1000 on but he has a future-proof machine and in the future, he won't need to upgrade, while the people who spend $200 on their graphics card now will have to upgrade in maybe two years. (Like me
)
IF I could spend $3000 on a computer, I probably would, but I would build it myself so it will cost MUCH less.

Just because it's future-proof doesn't mean I wont buy the next latest one!
Jk, I bought it solely because I had the money and like you guys said I wont have to upgrade much - or upgrade at all.

If you had $3000, you could spend it on a PS3 and have $2600 left.

I hate having to toss the DVD in to play
www.gamecopyworld.com
this site is totally legal.
This is was made for players of legal copy games to play their games without the dvd
SO I suggest everyone.
I have my crysis, doom, and few other games patched. I cant stand inserting dvd
