Destro I actually agree with the way you buy/build PC's from a cash bang-for-the-buck basis.  I also never buy cutting edge components because they are too expensive and within a relatively short amount of time will be far cheaper.

That being said the fact remains that if someone has the money to spend and chooses to buy the very latest components in a system then more power to them and the system we have been discussing is a good one.

well I actually can EASILY spend $3000 too, but I dont find it logical, instead I would buy another console, buy more games that actually MAKE a difference

yea, it being the half price is what makes me stop. On the world of computers, everything gets half of their old price in a year. And the difference between they card that is half of the price of your card when you baught isnt anything great.

Everything gets to half price except the damn 8800 GTX Ultra. Still at 300 pounds.

Anyway, I know Crysis isn't worth spending over $1000 on but he has a future-proof machine and in the future, he won't need to upgrade, while the people who spend $200 on their graphics card now will have to upgrade in maybe two years. (Like me )

IF I could spend $3000 on a computer, I probably would, but I would build it myself so it will cost MUCH less.
