I always choose to prestige.  I will work on the gold guns after I get prestige 10.  I always get a few red tigers each time I prestige, so I don't think it will be that big of a deal.

My only worry is that WaW may take up a lot of my time when it comes out, if it is any good.

10th prestige people usually are good though.
Which sounds like an assumption but we've all played horrible Gold Crosses. But most of the time they really are the ones doing well.

I won't prestige for the simple reason that I don't get anything from it. I mean, sure, I could get a fancy badge and brag to everyone that I just did the same thing over again for no real reason, but that wouldn't be fun.

I'd rather play the game and enjoy all the perks and weapons available, than trade them all in for a little big of bragging rights which mean nothing on the internet as far as I'm concerned.

I'm not worried about Golden guns or anything like that (although I'm close on a few of them), I just don't wanna have to unlock everything again. I'm sure I could easily go through and do the same thing I've already done 10 more times, but really, whats the point?

And, to that end, alot of people underestimate non-prestiged players, thinking they're not as good of a player as those who prestiged, and so they take you too lightly, and end up dead more times than if they took you alot more seriously.

Aswell, most 10th Prestigers I play against are TOO confident in their abilities, and so it makes it easier to kill them still.

In fact, it seems like most of the good players I play against/with, are those that are between non to 2nd Prestige.

really dont agree with this, ok there are lots of good players but just cos they gold doesnt mean they are good!! should get on the 8th badge today but i have kicked gold asses many many times, just last night i come up againt a gold clan called KOS we were on Downpour and bugger i hate starting on the greenhouse side as its the hardest side of any HS&D, but guess wot i took out 5 of the team and got airstrike lol won round 1, next took out 4 with my airstike and won that round next round not so good they killed us all before we could even get past that dam wall. but hay now we on the good side all of us planted claymores and kicked the shit out of them for next 2 rounds, even got a message of one of them asking how the hell i got a airstike as its the first time he has seen it on the planting side and to be honest its the first time i have ever seen it aswell and i was the one doing it lol , i came out with 14 kills out of 30 , even the next map crossfire we kicked ass and i got 12 kills out of 24. then they left lol , but this isnt a one off in a match last night they was 2 gold on my side and after the other 4 of us died they hide!! i even sent a message to 1 of them telling them that A bomb was free to plant as the team were looking for them and he wouldnt leave where he was hiding , just camped , the other did try but was killed of . time ran out and we lost then he left the game.

No point?  There is more of a point in going prestige than there is in stopping at 55.  People that continue going prestige earn new badges.  People that continue going prestige have their XP count for something.  People that stop at 55 are probably too afraid to give up their guns, perks & attachments.  People that go prestige know for a fact that they are going to earn all of their stuff back with no problem.  Staying at 55 is CAMPING - like it or not.  If you despise campers, then you better not be camping at 55.

ha ha, calling non-prestige people 'campers' is controversial. I see both sides, and its really personal choice.
I decided to prestige cos i like the challenge and want that XP working for me. I'd like golden guns and stuff but that can come later...

It may be controversial, but what are they doing?  They are CAMPING at 55.  What do you call someone that does not move around when in a match?  Camper.  Why do you call them a camper?  Because they pitch a tent, roast some marshmallows and are waiting around for some poor unfortunate soul to wander by and then they let them have it.  People that are camping want the edge of being able to see the enemy before the enemy sees them.  I think that the same thing applies to people that do not want to give up their weapons, perks and attachments because they want the edge that they have, which is better weapons, perks and attachments.  If you stay at 55, you are a CAMPER, unless of course, you have the gold cross.  Then, you are forced to stay at gold cross 55.  People that have the gold cross would most likely keep going if there were more prestige levels after the 10th one.

With that being said, camping is a legitimate tactic that is used in the game, as well as in real war scenarios.  If you want to camp at 55, so be it, but don't criticize people in a match that are camping, because that is exactly what you are doing by not going prestige.

If you truly have skills, you will be able to get back all of your blue tigers, red tigers & gold weapons.  All it takes is time.  Why wouldn't you want to have it all?  Is there something wrong with wanting to have the gold cross and all of the gold weapons?  Absolutely not.

Is there something wrong with CAMPING at 55, absolutely not.  But you are still a camper.

You are totally justified in staying at 55 10th prestige with all of your gold.  You would have kept on going up in prestige if given the opportunity before you earned all of your gold weapons, wouldn't you.

Hopefully they increase the number of prestige levels available in the next game.  I believe that I heard that they were going to have 65 ranks though.

Probably, I got all the golds third prestige too and got rid of them. I think it shows more skill to beat 55's at level 20.

Prestige gives you something to work for again, makes the game slightly more interesting.

I didn't prestige and had the golden ak and uzi, but after a while, i got bored, having a coloured gun isn't a big deal, the gun i no way enhances;

Prestige to 10th and then gold guns if you want, its just better.

i'm not good enough as it is, so to start over with no weapons or perks just seems like a waste. I won't get any better by constantly being at a disadvantage.
