Why do some players with head sets have so much feedback ?

Some players wearing headsets have so much feed back and background sounds that it gets really annoying. How do you tell them to fix the problem or just turn down their mic, without sounding like an asshole.

Just mute their sound and you're done. The only problem is the lobby, but still, I find it easy to just mute them

Honestly, mute is the best way. Most people get so defensive about it it's not worth it.

If they cut there mic sensitivity down along with the TV volume it isn't real bad but still is present. I use a headset for game sounds so my mic can't pick them up. Headset also lets you discern the direction of sounds much easier.

I should think most of them got one of the Datel Bluetooth "PS3" headsets or something similar, which are complete and utter rubbish. The cheapest mobile hands-free devices work better with the PS3 then Datels PS3 branded crap. The Datel one actually interferes with the controller.

Or they could be sitting there with a surround sound system with the volume up high, forgetting that their never-used headset is still on.

Yesterday I was playing a HQ game, nothing special, but when I got in the lobby there was screaming and yelling non-stop. One would look another guy up at home, that kinda stuff. I don't get why people get so worked up. If you don't like your teammates, go find another game.
