Most recently ive wanted to change my name, but i found out it was over 1000 microsoft points...wtf y would i change my gamertag, when i could make a whole new name for half the price with an extra 1 month...wtf is that, has ne 1 had problems with changing there name, and if you have changed it tell us, its always fun to veiw other peoples gamertags.

If you changed it using points you get to keep all your game achievments etc associated with your account. If you created a new one it would be the same as starting all over again.

What a rip-off, just get people to file gamer-tag complaints and MS will let you do it for free.

They got onto that. MS isn't stupid.

I changed mine from SillyRabbit X to OneSillyRabbit. I would say it was a very smart choice.

And it is 800 MS points, $10, which isn't anything really.

I'm pretty sure it only costs 800 Gamerpoints, not 1000.

What is Katrinka Lea anyways?
When my mom set up Live, instead of putting it on my account (at that time it was Deer Rat) she put it on hers' which was Katrinka Lea, which is a mixture of her middle name (Lou) and my sisters name (Katrina). So when I changed the name I re-named Deer Rat to Sir Ratty and Katrinka Lea to Deer Rat.
