I personally like the m40 better because of the extra shot, but the r700 is good for taking down jugga's. Still, i use the m40.

This arguement is null and void because the Dragunov is obviously the best choice!  Betweent the two, I'd go M40.  R700 just sucks at life whenever I try to use it...

Edit:  All right, I've used the R700 to some effect now and it works pretty well.  Although, There is a problem.  I can't get any headshots with it.  I remember when I used the Dragunov I had a 70% or so headshot rate, with the R700 I got like a 20-25% rate.  It also just seems to be slower..

I like both....depends on how good you are....If u can handle R700 recoil, it is better....otherwise M40a3

It depends how you like to snipe... Do you noscope, rush, camp or change spots easily?

If you rush to a spot definitly R700
If you noscope M40
If you camp without bandolier R700
If you cant seem to hit a moving target M40

M40 has a really good feel to it imo, because of the low recoil. It also has that bullet extra. It doesn't kill juggernauts in the chest, which is the only thing, except of recoil and magazine size, that differs the guns.

My vote goes to M40 which I unlocked red tiger for today  Cheesy  Perfectly balanced weapon, has everything a sniper should have.

m4 is basically a modified r700 i think but r700 with stopping power is what i use when i snipe
