Seriously, what is he point of calling it the Rocket Propelled Grenade if a simple grenade from a M203 Grenade launcher can travel faster than it?
Maybe those things that you put on your weapons that are so lavishly called (n00b toobz) should be called Rocket Propelled Grenades, and the current RPG should just be called 'PG'.

Physics  Tongue...

The RPG's are bigger than the granade launchers, so they need more power for more velocity...

That makes sense.
I guess RPG is more powerful too.

Because the RPG-7 is an ancient gun, but the M203 is a newer invention maybe.
Or just because the RPG is bigger...

To make shooting helicopters harder, to make them less reliable against other players, and because nobody making this game has ever fired either weapon, and they don't really care about accuracy.

COD4 isn't that realistic, it just pretends to be.

Just because something in its name, doesnt mean that it is fast.  The reason is because the M203 has extra propulsion  because it is fired from a launcher with a closed back, so there is no where for the expanding gasses to go but out the front, and the RPG has blowback, which requires an open back.  If it was closed, than the expanding gasses would be expanding too rapidly, and would literally blow the RPG launcher apart, not only detonating the RPG pre-release, but severely injuring all within a 10-25 meter radius.  In addition to having the expanding gasses on their side, the M203 is smaller, and therefore is able to go faster.  For example, say you have a nine mm round, and a .45 round.  You shoot them with the same muzzle velocity, the .9 mm round will travel faster and farther because it is smaller.  The .45 round will go slower and at a shorter distance than the .9 mm.  But, they are both very fast.  If you think you an RPG is slow, then why dont you get someone to fire an RPG to a target about 50, maybe 100 meters in front of you, and try to beat it to the target, by running.

If you got there first, the RPG's explosion would probably kill you!
