Here's a timeline of what happened:

August 30th: I call Xbox Customer Support to fix a screen freezing issue. We determine that I will need to send them the system. They are supposed to give me a box in 3-5 buisness days so that I can ship it to them.

August 31st: My warranty expires, without me knowing.

September 10th: It has been 8-9 buisness days, and I haven't received a box. I call in to Customer Support Service, only to find out that they have no record of my repair. So I ask to start a new one and the lady asks me to remove the hard drive, but I wasn't able to do it (the person told me to slide it back, but you actually pull it up). She said she won't send me a box until I can remove the hard drive in spite of the fact that i hadn't needed to remove it last time in order for them to send me a box.

September 13th: I figure out how to remove the hard drive. I call Xbox back, and I tell them this story. They understand, we start a repair, and he asks me if I have access to a Credit Card. I say, "A credit card? Isn't this supposed to be free?" And the support rep says, "It would have been free but your warranty expired on August 31." So I say "But wait, I originally called on August 30th, this is the Xbox customer support's fault, not mine." And he says "I'll put you on the phone with the head customer support rep of this building." After being put on hold for a lengthy 25 minutes, She finally picks up. I explain her this story, and she agrees wit me and I get a free repair, and a free month of Xbox Live.

Actually if I remember right any Xbox sent in must have the hard drive removed.  You would have had to remove it to send it in with those giant foam pieces on the side of the 360.  Still there fault since when I just recently sent mine back in the rep made sure I knew that if I sent any of that stuff in that not only would it not get repaired but could possibly not get sent back to me.

The other party in pretty unlucky and good thing you said something cause nobody would have even cared to look over that and see if you still get the free repair.

 I`m suprised they still ask you anything, And not just say "Just send us your God Damn xbox 360", Since there still melting the Microprocessor....  Cheesy, They prbably get about 100,000 of those calls a day.

I lol'd  Cheesy Love your sense of humor. But I forgot to mention that I also will get 2 of free xbox live rather than one, and I will get free 1-day shipping each way, instead of the standard 5-day shipping, there by reducing the time by almost a week and a half.  Cool
