Its called Halo 3 Recon, so It would not make sense for it to be standalone game, but a standalone expansion it is. Look at the HL2 Series. Episode 1 still has HL2 infront, same with Ep. 2

Halo 3 Recon is the METAL GEAR FOR THE 360 (OMFG I JUST REALIZED THAT AS I WAS TYPING THIS!, THIS IS THE METAL GEAR SOLID LIKE PROJECT MICROSOFT WAS TALKING ABOUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
