How they could fix the G36c.

Yeah... there's nothing more to be said. Whether or not the G36 'feels' better for you, the fact of the matter is that the M4's higher ROF, equal damage, and lower recoil make it a better gun. I think they could fix the G36c in a few ways:

1: Give it better Iron Sights than the M4.

You know how there's that little square in the back that lines up with the circular front-sight? If they just cut the top half of that square off, you would essentially have the MP5's Iron Sights. This would make the 36' silenced a hugely popular combination.

2: Give it better hip accuracy than the other full auto assault rifles... but a little bit worse than that of the SMG's.

Self-explanatory. Would help compensate for the slower kill speed time than the other full auto AR's.

3: Ammo-share with the USP.

I know it's rediculous; the G36c doesn't fire .45 caliber rounds. But it would give people another reason to choose it as their assault weapon rather than the M4.

Does anyone agree? Does anyone have anything to add? Take away? Post comments.

I think the G36c is a good all around weapon, like you said if they fixed the iron sights it would be that much better

If the hip-fire was equivalent to the SMGs, it would be just fine. It certainly wouldn't be overkill, considering that the AK-74u does the same thing in reverse, and it really isn't THAT big of a tweak. It really does feel like an SMG, what with good aiming accuracy, but poor recoil control; I've often considered how closely it resembles the MP5.

And I dunno about the iron sights, I've never had a problem with them. They're not great, but not terrible, either. Certainly not AR-15 or M14 quality.

Or they could just make it equal/greater damage rate to the M4. But I like the hip-fire idea better.

I'd just like a slight damage increase and I'd be fine. The M4 is better is all categories, the G36c needs some help.

Personally I think the G36C is fine as is. I pulled out a first place in FFA with it silenced last night. I was using this class.

i think you make a good point and you have some good ideas but for realism issues they wouldnt change the iron sights. personally i like it the way it is, i almost prefer it to the m4 even though the stats arent as good.

The G36c iron sights are on par with the AK-47 sights in my opinion.

This is the thread that should have been created a LONG time ago.

When you compare everything about the G36 and the M4, the M4 wins. Without a doubt. Hands down. You can't argue it.
It is better at everything.

When deciding to use a G36 or an M4, it just comes down to personal preference. That's it.

The G36 should do 30-40 damage instead of 20-30 like the M4.

It should be able to share ammo with a pistol (like you said Crunch)

That would make the G36 a more considerable option compared to the M4.

I personally love the G36, but I love the M4 more. It's just simply better. That's it.

It's too bad because the G36 is really cool. And nothing looks better than a Red Tiger G36 with a silencer on it. Cool

It seems like a lot of people think the 36 has bad iron sights? I wouldn't really consider them the worst, but I don't think they're that bad

i almost agree about the hip fire accuracy thing, but the g36 is a spray friendly gun and is highly capable of multi tasking between scoping and and no scoping. mabee 4 da m14.
