To Prestige or not To Prestige?

Well I'm level 46 6th prestige and am undecided about continuing prestige. I don't like 7th and 8th prestige symbols that much. And I don't think I can get to 10th prestige before COD:WaW comes out next week.

I really want to prestige because I really want that gold cross.
But I don't want to prestige because I don't think I can make it.

So, prestige or no prestige?

2 things to consider mate, will you be coming back to play COD4 when you get WAW? and can you handle not benefitting from those XP you will be getting?

if you answer yes, then no, you have to go prestige

what is so good about ice cream?  Some people like it, and see the value - others don't.

I'd say A: there's no way you'll get to 10th before WaW comes out (I'm halfway through 9th, and i doubt I'll get there), but

B: Who cares if WaW comes out first.  If it really goes gangbusters - most people won't switch till XMAS (like last year when new CoD4 players crashed Microshaft's servers).  You've got plenty of time.

Don't prestige you can't make it. Having a gold cross is cool (i have one), but it get olds.

You will definitely not make it in time. My friend plays two hours a night roughly and it takes him two weeks to prestige to the next prestige mode.

Never been a huge fan of prestige, and that is only based on what I have learnt from reading console users post on these forums as I am on the PC.

I wouldn't bother mate, if you get bored with WaW at some point you can always come back and complete another prestige for the challenge and a change of pace.

If you are like most people, you won't stop playing Cod4 when WaW comes out. There will still be plenty of people playing Cod4, so you would still be able to prestige and make it.

It sounds like you want the cross, so I say go prestige unless you think you won't be playing Cod4 once WaW comes out.

I like camos better. They show more skill assuming they weren't done by cage match. And I've noticed such a common camper trend in gold crosser I basically think of that symbol as a caution "camper here."
