first of all, i love snipers. i love sniping. i love when i'm reloading and i see some P90 weilding hooligan rushing me, hear a barrett go off, and then see a bloody fireworks display behind the guys head.  no doubt.  word up to snipers.

but maybe snipers should consider whether or not they should snipe if there's already enough snipers on the team.  i say more than two is too much.

here's my issue:  most snipers are camp snipers.  nothing against camping...when it works, but if you just have two or three snipers camping at your spawn point you can get what i call the "meat grinder" effect. especially on maps like crossfire.  this has happened to me countless times. 

the other team rushes your spawn, but of course the snipers just want to stay there the whole game.  even after they spawn, they run up to the restaurant everytime, leaving the rest of the team to keep spawning there, not being able to fight the horde, because we lack fire power because the snipers are only able to get an average of one kill per death due to the other teams onslaught. 

once again i snipe too, but if i choose my snipe class and see two snipers in front of me, i'll change.  make the sacrifice.  i feel a lot of the time, my team has lost a match just because we had too many snipers. 

i don't doubt that an army of snipers can work well together, but if that's your gameplan, actually make it work.  communicate to eachother.  don't just compete for kills.  designate sight lines.

just a suggestion.

ya i know what your saying. I hate on bog in sabotage or domination, all my teammates do is sit at the wall and snipe and only like one guy goes to midfield with me so we have no rush and it just doesnt work

I always start out sniping on Wet Work.  I wait at spawn and see where people goes.  If 2 people snipe, I switch my class and rush.

I agree - but the same can be said for any class/weapon.

That said - perk stacking is sweet - if you can get people to pull it off.  A ghost team, or a juggernaut team.

I like playing against the type of team you've described.  Suit up with a silencer and go - to - town on them.

just to let you kno, some snipers can be used like an assault rifle.  take the barret, slap an acog on and ur good to go at med range. my theory would be to have a 1:2 ratio of camp snipers to mobile snipers, which would work pretty well... in theory. Undecided

Most higher prestige peeps know better than to be juggerlaststandnoobs..

Weird, that the server knows to pair you with homosexuals.  360 Tivo must have observed that you prefer them based on your previous playing habits.  Or it's just punishing you for being culturally ignorant.  Who knows?

Camping is not useless - it can be an important strategy in Domination (especially if your team sucks at defending objectives you capture for them).  It also can be necessary in HQ.  A good team builds proximity perimeters to blow out the clock on a captured objective - concentric rings of defense.  The innermost ring almost mandates some amount of camping.

I agree - there are some cowardly players who camp (usually to their own detriment, not mine), but to outright negate stationary defense as strategy 100% of the time just sounds like ignorant chest thumping.

I love playing against the class you just mentioned, aside from your perk gaffe.  That means they have an underpowered, poor hip firing, slow moving class (with no recoil control).  Basically hippopotamae, wallowing around, waiting to get shot.  I love to pwnish that.

I'd feel bad if a group of homosexuals or heterosexuals got the best of me with a class like that, enough that I would hate that class.  It would mean that I was horrible at this game.

Although - if you tweak the class to add a grip, and change last stand to deep impact or steady aim - it becomes a very effective class for one or two people to use - closing of choke points and traffic channels in objective game modes.

It never fails to amaze me how perfectly valid perks and attachments piss people off.  If you weren't supposed to use them - IW wouldn't have let combine them (I mean that is why there are 3 groups of perks to select from, instead of any 3 - IW set the cap on what perks are configurable)

easy kills for silenced gunners btw. put on bomb squad silenced everything. watch for red blips far from the regular mass of enemies and kill.

I have to agree with you smoove.  You can inflict a all new level of panic on a team when they call a UAV and NOTHING shows up. 

Or have it whenever they shoot your team they have to go through Juggernaut AND Last Stand.
