Camo doesn't do much, and the ones we have now are really the only ones that are appropriate.  Gold is there just for the same reason as prestige.

Given that we have minor balance issues now, adding more weapons would make it even worse.  It's all about making each weapon suit a specific purpose; this is part of the reason we only have two shotguns, because aside from firing rate you can't do much with them to make their stats unique.

Here's my wish list:
1. An option to turn off music and the disembodied announcer voices.
2. Make it easier to get into/out of the prone position.
3. Add some lag prediction so I don't have (as m)any magic bullets.
4. Rebalance the UAV/Airstrike/Helicopter mechanic.  The people who are already winning get an even greater advantage?  Players might as well rage-quit when one gets set off, there's no more chance to win, and they usually do.
5. Remove Shipment from map rotation.
6. Maybe a cover mechanic?  You won't have to guess if your head is sticking out anymore.  Might need a 3rd person camera.  That's not a bad idea, either, if they can get the whole FOV advantage straightened out.

Yeah, the whole "he somehow shot me with only his head sticking out of cover" issue has got to stop.

What music? If there is any, I have never noticed it. And the announcers only talk at the start of the game, and say when your teammates are reloading or killed someone, so it is useful to me

2. Make it easier to get into/out of the prone position.

Why? It is realistic the way it is now, and if you could all of a sudden flatten to the ground, it would be cheap and make the game less fun.

I agree with point 3 and 4, stopping lag is good and maybe radar should be made less accurate or reload slower?

5. Remove Shipment from map rotation.

It is removed from TDM, and if you don't want to play it, quit before the game starts or vote to skip.

Cover is not a bad idea, but no way should they make it 3rd person! That would defeat the point of the game, and it is unfair to be looking behind you--you do not have eyes on the back of your head. This is a first person game, not a third person game.

All these are great ideas, but i'll leak some stuff from IW physics staff.
1.Guaranteed new prestiges', 5 to be exact.
2.New maps are always being tested
3."Bullet drop", basically what it says. Snipers in particular will have to learn to judge how much gravity will affect the bullet over the distance it travels.
4.Better wall physics, meaning you cannot use an mp5 to shoot through walls, simply because a 9mm bullet cannot go through concrete.
5.Finally probably the best thing yet, new weapons, at least one per class but there working on more attachments as well.

They're supposed to be making major improvements to this already great game. I can't get him to tell me if there are plans to make CoD5 for definate but I won't stop trying. :toothy10:

yeah support types would be cool, like tank strikes.  But i would like new camos, new weapons, and new maps.  longer clan tags would be stupid.  I like the new maps and would like to see what else Infinity Ward can come up with :76:

no no no no no.....they'll be a pack download, such as the guns with the maps but if someone has all the other challenges and gold guns they will retain those. the extra guns are just that..extra.

UPDATE: Possible new shotgun will be the AA12, the auto assault 12gauge is an automatic shotgun. the game version will include the 8 shot box mag, and not the 20,30,or 40 round drums for obvious reasons. One thing players will have to learn to do is adjust their firing rate due to the constant recoil.

New AR will be the Steyr Aug. This Bullpup will fire the 5.56mm NATO round similar to the M4. However with the Steyr's barrel length longer than the m4 and the smaller overall length means higher velocity equaling greater damage, higher accuracy and more mobility.

Also discussion of a fire rate switch perk has come up, replacing the first perk and allowing the user to switch between 3rd burst and full auto with the left d pad button. This will only be available on weapons that can support it. The M16A1, Ak47,and 74u,the M4, along with the new Steyr.

I'll keep everyone updated as regularly as possible.

I can tell you never played BF2142 (probably happened on BF2 as well).

Basically going prone in that game is (was?) instantaneous, so you had people who'd jump and then go prone as they bellyflopped through the air.

Nah, the way prone works now is the best way I've seen it implemented yet. It's balanced, but useful.

More weapons would be nice. There's already quite a few maps and they are making more so I don't feel they are of the imporance. However with so many guns in the world, and the ever-changing preferences of CoD4 players worldwide...i think more weapons would be neat. You know, add another shotgun or two, maybe one more LMG although i despise those but some people like them, i think most importantly a pistol between M1911 and deagle, but also maybe an assault rifle, an smg, and a sniper would all be nice. I like a little change every once in a while, makes things interesting. Plus it would make people work harder for golden guns, which i think are too easy to achieve because of all of the cage-matchers.

Yes this is true. Everything I get leaked to me I leak to everyone because "we're buddies, and im not the kind of person who leaks info"/chuckle. I believe that the more people know about something the more support or criticism it will receive.

I strongly agree with you Rabbit, the auto shotgun would be a little over doing it, but since every shot adds to the spread, by the third shot you'd have to be within 10 feet to even be damaged.

Well, while it would be simply awesome to have insider information, there's a couple of things that make me incredibly skeptical...

1: You say the Steyr Aug would have more damage, higher accuracy and higher mobility than the M4...why would they put that in the game? Then you'd have no reason to choose the M4. Where's the drawback?

2: M16 with full-auto? I think not...and why wouldn't it be added for the MP5/G36c/P90?

I mean, they seem like some pretty stupid/wacky design decisions...
