I blew at CoD4 until about halfway through my first prestige (I'm at 3.53 right now).  I mean really blew.  I was that spaz that fired in uncontrollable, harmless bullet funnels, and ran straight across open areas like Captain Spiers from Band of Brothers.  The guy who after you play a round with you sit during the intermission, praying to almighty Thor that you won't be on his team again.  I was saddled with a .4 K/D ratio before I even knew where you could find it.  It took me forever to clean things up, but as of last week I am FINALLY above 1.  FINALLY.

I'm sure the senior guys here will smack me on the back of the head for stating the obvious, but for the uninitiated, as long as you aren't sacrificing the objectives of the match to win - your K/D ratio match to match is probably important stat to watch.  Accuracy will come on its own, and you can't really control win streak.  But K/D - that's your efficiency badge.

I only say this, because if you are new to this game, the longer you let your K/D go to pasture, the more gross kills you have to rack up to fix it.  I am at something like 15000 kills now - and I'd have to get like 60000 kills to get to 1.5.  That's the kind of junk that makes me want to jump ship for CoD5.  Newbies out there, heed my advice, and learn from my mistakes.

JUST DON'T BACK OUT TO PROTECT YOUR K/D RATIO - you never know when you might be hosting the match.

Yeee!  Got my KD ratio up to 1.11 just recently.  A few days ago it was at 1.08 but it went up pretty fast.  It's almost 1.12 i think.  I've been positive in pretty much all my games lately so it should be there within a few games.

Right now I'm at 93%.  That's up from 72% a month ago when I started sniping.  360 more kills than deaths to go till I break even.

Mine is 1.03 which it has been for ages. Until I prestiged it was about 0.50, but since then I have got better, coming top in a lot of matches.
