When i go to play COD it loads into the starting lobby fine. When i go to "Find a game" it says "Downloading settings" and it either takes 45 minutes or does not work at all. How do i fix this?.

Try going back out and trying again maybe sign of psn then sign back in. If that does not work, you are screwed Undecided

Nope still doesnt work.

clean the disk
and maybe just like unplug everything like the ehternet cord and stiff and plug it back in again.
or buy a new disk.
maybe if you have to get gaming platform looked at

I recommend using cleaning alcohol on the disk and a smooth fabric so no further damage is done. If that doesn't work then you may have to buy a new copy  Sad

I don't think its the disk thats the problem.  Are you playing wireless?  Is Cod the only game not working?

Nah i know it isn't the disc. It's either my connection or the PS3, it does work after a while but honestly i can't be bothered waiting 30 mins everytime i wanna play.

I had problems with my PS3 before.  SCEA has a really good customer service if you want to call them.  1-800-345-SONY

my brother had the same problem on his ps3 for cod4 and he just stopped playin cod4 for a lil then played it. still had the thing and just kept exiting out of the game restarting oit and doing the same. and now it works perfectly
