I don't own a PC version of the game, and don't do a lot of PC gaming, so I don't know much about how PC games sometimes behave. But have you tried reinstalling the game? That's a very simple thing to try if something doesn't work, although a lot of the time it has no effect. In my PC gaming experience, I've only had games quit on their own when they have overloaded some aspect of my system, such as my old (before I upgraded) built in graphics chip.

Check to make sure your fans are cooling your CPU GPU and Motherboard properly. Overheating is a big problem in PCs and games failing like that is often an indicator.

I take it you've got the latest patch installed, perhaps that could cause the problem. Other than that I would back up any profiles I've got and reinstall the game.
