Use your standard classes, except don't use a silencer. You want to be seen on the radar, so that the enemies come to you- becase in FFA, if you go wandering around, you're likely to get shot in the back.

Agreed.  Some people camp.  I use from time to time G36C silenced in FFA.  But the thing is that you want something that kills fast and has decent ammo since you come across enemies fast.  And if your killing someone you better bet someone is on their way to kill you.

yeah what he said. also you are likely to get double teamed because everyone follows the red dots on the radar, so i would use:

RPD w/ grip
N/A
stopping power
steady aim

another good thing is to camp.... i know it may be boring but its effective:

m40a3 w/ acog
2 calymores
stopping power
steady aim

most of the combat in FFA is close to medium quarters, so you'll have to do a bit of no scoping. today, i got my best kill streak ever in FFA (21), using that exact class. you can camp and mobiler snipe together.

smooveluv has had good luck with this class:

G36C Silenced

Bandolier or 3 Frags or 3 Special.  (I can't remember)
Stopping Power
Dead Silence

As soon as I unlock Dead Silence again I'm going to give it a try.  I'm getting a little tired of TDM lately.  Need something new.

Yar - that works.  In fact, you can forgoe the silencer if you want.  As long as you hear them coming, the unsilenced weapon becomes a luring asset - like crunchy mentioned.  Just keep your eyes peeled, your only threat is guys creeping, and some other jerk copping your DS style.  For FFA, I'd go bando - but it depends on the map, etc.  If it's a small map, bando is a waste - you're going to die on the way to the top.

There are three basic tips I'll provide you.

1: Run or Hide. If you aren't in a good camping position, you should ALWAYS be moving. People hide all over the place, but if you keep sprinting between covered positions, it'll keep you safe, and maybe force them to come out after you. And if you decide to camp, you'll still probably have to move every once in a while, otherwise someone can still toss a cooked grenade your way. Sometimes I'm killed, and I toss a grenade right as I respawn and am able to kill the person who just killed me.

2: Check corners. FFA is a haven for weird strategies and hiding posts. Never assume that there isn't an enemy somewhere until you've checked it. If something seems out of place, get behind a wall immediately, and approach with caution.

3: Listen. Most people playing FFA don't pay attention to footsteps, but they are more useful than UAV (when the game decides to render them properly). If you can use your ears to detect someone, you can predict exactly where they will be.

FFA is a race to 25 kills.
try to get a helicopter up.
kill fast. it dosent matter your death. it might fuck up your k/d ratio but 25 kills and 40 deaths is better then 24 kills and no deaths.
Also if you are doing it to do the free for all challanges, remember that all you need is 10 top 3 placings, not first place.

if you are decent player pIace in the top 3 fairly easily. I dont care what people say but the worst players are found in FFA. I play HQ alot mainly for xp, but occasionally i play ffa, and i own. The good players are playing search and destroy, headquarters, sabatoge and hardcore. I am about to do my 10th prestige and im going to play alot of ffa to raise my kdr.

ohh and this is my ffa setup
p90 silenced
silenced pistol
bandolier
uav jammer
dead silence

they never hear or see you becuase alot of ffa players are run and gunners. Alows for kill streaks which means airstrikes wich leads to helicopters, which usally leads to you murking people and being surprised becuase you get that 25th kill and all of a sudden the game is over with you the victor

FFA is generally a silent game. if you get a helicopter up, just camp/ hide. people are too scared to fire at the helicopters because that means they will have a red dot, and most people just wait until red dots show up, then they go after them.

LET THE HELICOPTER DO THE WORK...

ah FFA my specialty..specially on HC FFA....listen 2 captaincrunch's advise and:
I will share SOME of my secrets

-  STAY AWAY FROM CORPSES:
there r 2 many martyrdom users there so NEVER try to go near them...if u hav 2 pick up a gun..wait 5 seconds 2 be sure u dont get blown up....

- DONT CAMP 2 MUCH:
a lot of opponents would run n gun and/or trip on ur claymores so u would run out of claymores 2 quickly...go mobile sniping

  DON't be disoriented:
- when u get blinded or stunned.....quickly go prone...aim down and keep pressing the weapon switch button....when ur opponents realize they flashed/stunned u....they would usaually think ur still standing and not moving...so be careful

  choose d right guns:
- u might need the best guns for each situation... EXAMPLE, dont use a 50 cal on a map like shipment or killhouse cuz u would be owned

   get d right perks
- depends on each map u might need to be stealthy,u might need a ton of ammo, u might need grenades, U WILL NEED TO THINK LIKE UR ENEMIES..it is one of d best strategies cuz u will know how they think, where they usually go, how they shoot, etc.

    do not celebrate 2 early
- doesnt mean its just 5 seconds left is it means YOU win...no it doesnt one time my friend and i had the same score, but he was still top.....so on the last 3 seconds, my ADRENALINE BOOSTED and i finally got the last kill, and i won........so dont celebrate too much, too early

     have the EAGLE EYES
- u might not be able to see far away enemies with a red dot or a silencer or something...but EYES SHARP.....there r far away enemies that usually dont aim for u, so u aim on them....be sure ur aiming on them, ur aiming on the right spot (the head or something), and kill fast...i got all my camo for my fave guns cuz i aimed on the head always and killed fast, killed first..............

yes those r what i will share...those r NOT ALL of my secret recipes....sori i wont share my FFA class whether it is M4 or not....hope it helped
