I've seen alot of topics on other assault riffles and perks and attachment go along with those assault riffle, but haven't really seen anyone talks about what attachment should go along with M14 and which perks they prefer on it.

Yea, I would really love to know this too, I was considering making a post on it. What attachments and perks are good?

I like them all actually. Originally, I liked the G3 better than the M14, but now that I have used the M14 more, I think I like them equal. But anyways, I think my favorite would have to be silencer for the M14.

Silencer obviously makes you more covert and go unnoticed on the radar when the enemy doesn't have UAV. Also, it decreases muzzle flash so you can put on your nightvision without any distractions and also, it is harder for people to spot you. I am not sure if it helps with recoil or not... The downside is you have to use the mediocre iron sight.

RDS and ACOG are great too. Use them for helping to aim long ranged. When deciding between RDS and ACOG, test them both out see which one fits you.

But, my favorite is silencer.  Smiley

Oh yeah, I forgot my class:

M14 w/ Silencer
USP .45 w/ Silencer
Bandolier or Claymore x2
Stopping Power
Steady Aim (I can use it like a shotgun occasionally, but I have to be lucky)

Since I made this post, I should share my class with this weapon too

I uses ACOG as attachment and for normal mode, I uses stopping power and extreme condition

For hardcore I'll go for UAV jammer and deep Impact

I personally prefer the RDS or ACOG on the M14. The ACOG makes it have a medium distance sniper ability, but the RDS can be more useful if you like to run around with this gun. If you can use the iron sights well, then a silencer may be a good choice. Keeps you off the radar so you can pick off people while hanging back, and not let the other team try to flank your dot on the radar.

The class I used for a while on the M14 was:

M14 (RDS)
Desert Eagle
Bandolier/Claymores
Stopping Power
Steady Aim

Bandolier means you can keep firing to take those pesky people who don't go down quickly and not worry about your ammo. Claymores you can set up to cover your tracks or can be used if you set up camp to play sniper with this gun.

Stopping power means an average two hit kill with this gun I think. And steady aim can help when you meet some people close up and need to shoot from the hip, since the gun has a fair bit of recoil.

you know, that is EXACTLY the class i used when getting headshots for it. Once on ambush TDM this one guy on the enemy team OWNED me with a silenced M14 and stopping power, i got killed at least 10+ times by him. So i said hey im gonna have to try it. It really is an awesome gun, probably has much more potential then many other guns at any range. Too bad the iron sights suck though.  :sad11:

Finally some people appreciate the brilliance of the Silencer on the M14! Such a joy to use, though it really is a shame about the Iron Sights. However saying that I tend to use RDS more.

This is my setup right now:
M14 w/RDS
-3*Frags
-Stopping Power
-Extreme Conditioning

Great for hanging back or flanking, or just making a bit of a nuisance of yourself with the nades if you get holed in. Smiley
