Using that number, I calculated how often a round comes out. Then I multiplied by the number of hits to kill, thus getting the time to kill. 

oh, well I guess that works. lol.  I thought you timed it with a timer, and I was thinking "well that sure isn't reliable.." lol

The P90 is probably superior if you aren't going to silence it.  Silenced, the MP5's iron sights make it a much better gun.  Aside from that, even with the slight variations in data mentioned earlier, it's pretty much preference.  A couple tenths of a second in kill time face so many variables in the killing process that it's tough to say that you'd get more kills with one or the other.  IMO.

they are both excellent guns, I have switched back and forth many times, but overall, p90 is more fun to use. I mean, mp5 has lots of recoil, and I personally don't at all mind the p90's iron sights.

Well I prefer the Mp5 since I can drop an enemy in 2 shot in CQC. (with stopping power)

even with a high fire rate, the P90 might lose to MP5 (even with stopping power) since it requires 3 shots...or I might even say its kinda even for both guns.

really all depends of the player anyway

P90's iron sights are excellent plus the small recoil is great. If I see a P90 silenced on the floor, I pick it up because it just is the best silenced gun. It feels so good to shoot and sounds really nice.

This is all opinionated. I hate the iron sights on the MP5. Simple as.
