Which LMG is your favorite?

Hey, it's me again. xD

I recently made a shotgun thread, ended up trying both out and hating both and never using that class so now, I'm making an LMG class. But because I haven't used an LMG in like forever I know nothing about them. From what I can gather, people seem to like all 3, so once again like my shotgun thread im trying to drag all of those opinions to here. This is not for you to tell me which one to use, but for you to tell me which one you use and perhaps with what attachments and perks you use with it, and why you like it over the other LMG's. Just made this thread to get some knowledge on that which I know nothing about.

Please don't just say "RPD is pwnz0r you nub l0l". Say "RPD is pwnz0r you nub l0l and h3r3 is why", if you insist on speaking in 1337. Just trying to gather some opinions on these three guns because I have no clue what to use, what attachments, and what perks. So if you could just take a second to vote and make a little post saying which one you like that would be great, thanks.

My favorite LMG is the RPD for these reasons:

1) RPD has a fantastic iron sight, so you can put grip on it easily
2) RPD has less recoil than the M60E4
3) RPD has more power than the SAW
4) RPD, with grip, is very very accurate
5) RPD has a higher rate of fire than M60E4
6) RPD has a great balance, close to far range all work well (if you are good of course)
7) RPD is more mobile than the M60E4, which helps a whole lot in aiming and running
8 ) RPD is not noobish, in my opinion, and therefore is not 'cheap'

I feel all LMG's are a bit too powerful. Especially the people who run around with M60's and spray and pray me, only needing to get two hits to kill me.

However, I've made a class that I only bring out when the other team are using similar things, or being plain annoying with Noobtubes, etc. Here it is:

RPD (Grip)
Desert Eagle
-Grip
-Juggernaut
-Martyrdom

I feel ashamed of this class, but hell does it piss off people who are pissing me off with their way overpowered classes.

So I think that the LMG's are a little overpowered, however if I had to pick one, I'd say that they are pretty well balanced together. However the M60's iron sights are awful, and the SAW doesn't have the power of the other two. Also the M60 has quite big recoil, and with those iron sights not many people choose to put the grip on it. So I'd have to say favourite goes to the easiness of the RPD.

Wow, 3 for 3 on the RPD, thanks guys. Great advice, I'll have to try it out, because shotguns certainly didn't work for me. LMG's might not either, in that case I'll have either 3 assaults 1 SMG and a sniper or 2 assaults 2 smgs and a sniper lol

RPD sure is the best lmg, but thats in general. I use it in normal situations. When i switch over to groundwar i'd rather take the saw because: 1) 5 secs reload instead of 10
                                                                                        2) i use grip, stp and steady aim
                                                                                            wich kills them right away
And when i switch over to headquarters i make sure i have the M60E4 as backup when i suddenly get dropped in shipment. that weapon is just the best for shipment (i got times i won with 120kills and 15 deaths, cray isnt it?).
So i do agree the rpd is the best overall, but in some situations u just cant use it so very well and ull find the other 2 coming better to handyness. i hope i helped u guys a lil bit with this.

None of them are any good imho, hate the damn things, but yeah if I had to say one I'd go with the RPD. Used that one for a while when I was lower level, but now I've seen the light. :toothy11:

I agree, I hate them too, but I'm lacking a last class so I was browsing the selections. I either use the RPD now or I'm using another assault rifle. I'll probably end up using assault rifle but I was just looking around to see what I wanted to use if I did use an LMG.

Ahh, well. I'll have 3 assault rifle classes then haha. Can't stand shotguns or LMGs. But thank you all so much for posting xD

i like the rpd, because the iron sights are fantastic. and if you have eagle eyes it's like an m21, 2 shot kills. and if people get too close, it has a high enough fire rate to kill someone. it fires faster than m60, more power than m249, and better iron sights than both.

Okay, I may be in the minority but I like the Saw.

Saw w/red dot,
Deagle
bandolier
Stopping power/Deep impact. 

Yes it is less powerful that the Rpd, but less cheap to. It does have a few advantages

1) It really doesnt need a grip so you can use bandoiler with it
2) Its faster in everything Running, reload,firerate so it is a bit less specialized

I have used both and I like both so it depends on how I feel that day.

As for the 40- I hate the thing. If I want grip I have to put up with really crappy sights. If I want sights it has a ton of kick to it.  I have only seen it used primarly 2 ways.

With the grips a spray pray which it excells at because of its high power. Or it can be used w/red dot as a high capacity sniper rifle. If you stay prone it works well like that if you have  a light trigger finger

agreed. Id use the P90- faster fire rate and same damage lol. Much more versatile in my opinion.  M60+double tap WAS my favorite, until i stopped using it because it got on my conscience.  :toothy3:
