If the AK-74u didn't get worse hip-fire with a silencer (or an RDS), I'd go with that. So I pick the MP5. That hip-fire is the deal breaker when it comes to SMGs, so I believe that they're well balanced.

74u is way more powerful than the MP5, looks better, and some other stuff.

but the AK-74u has the bullet penetration of an assault rifle.  Shocked

MP5 has better range though, and it has better hip-fire accuracy with a silencer.

I use the Ak74u because I kick ass with it but I still like the MP5.
