Yeah, that could work. I could see it being great in training/practice sessions but I don't know about in-game, I think having a variety of setups in a team is essential, with perhaps two per class type in say TDM. Though in TT I can really see it working.

A general all-purpose assault system is probably the most popular of choices in the game, that's something I'm sure most of us could spec in.

I'm a decent sniper but not amazing, stealth/flanking/CQC is very much my forté. I'll be happy to assume that role.

As for clan rankings.... Hmmm.... It's something I think that would have to be implemented if the clan gets much bigger, but I don't know right now.... Not for individual classes, that could get extremely confusing and would make the clan somewhat divided. Though as I say a clan-wide ranking system may have to happen. Let's see how it goes.

So yeah Mav, what you've suggested is great for practice, we should try it.

Have you guys got any experience running a clan??

I handled an SAS clan on CSS (about 15-30 members) for quite a while we got quite good but i handed responsibility down to my brother cause i wanted to play Guild Wars and Oblivion

Panda ur idea bout the classes is good except some people like to vary it, i enjoy playing in ur face assualting, stealth flanking and sniping...

I recomend instead of setting ourselves in spereate groups we kinder give ourselves confidence levels in different "classes" which ofcourse will be moderated by higher powers to ensure we aint saying we are leet when were not and crap when really we r just extremely modest, and then for a match we assign the roles for the game according to whos there and what they are good at. (if this is actually wot u meant i apologise)

for example panda me and u are proffecient snipers but if we joined say showdown together probably wudnt be smart if both of us sniped, if ur better than me with an LMG (which u probbaly are) then id recmomend ud provide covering fire and take out runners while i shootdown doors and arches, see what im saying.

Also can we set up thread for tactics?? specifically for search and destroy? cause thats the real kind of competetion isnt it? the game that favours most from preperation?

we cud use the pitctures of the maps that are on this site to mark key positions/routes + roles, and then when we join the game we cud just assign the role and we will know wot we are doing.

That was me you TK'd on Countdown. And then I got killed by Sniper Wolf on Overgrown too. Although I was sneaking about on a stairway and popped my head around the doorway where he was focused on.

Some good games anyway. I still need more practice on being stealthy.

Yeah, I also helped run a CSS clan for a while.

You bring up very good points, and I'm sure we can gradually implement them into out more serious games. But you have to understand that the system we have implemented hasn't been designed to improve our competitive team play, it has been included to help run the forum side of it and to address the major issue that has come up; People leeching on the clan. This is especially true for the 360 version which we're hopefully going to sort out, too.

Just to make it clear, my being clan leader doesn't make me a more important member of the team in any way and doesn't give me the right to boss anyone around in-game. That's absolutely not what we're going for.

and i really like the idea of no leaders! is "autocratic" the word?

will we eventually open a thread for potential tactics, just brain storm stuff. I really think working wih each other covering each others backs cud significantly improve our gameplay, or that could just be wishful thinking...

Yeah, in good time I'm sure we can get that sorted.

Basically the Recruit < full member or "Soldier" system ensures that members must be a part of the forums and contribute to become a full member, if recruits cannot adhere to this they will be dropped as they have no right to the clan. Therefore no leeching.
The Officers are just there to help make clan-wide decisions as it can't be a dictatorship
The main purpose of the Leaders is just to keep everything running smoothly and editorial purposes, therefore iSniper and myself as we're mods.
