They would then put websites and services that don't pay Virgin in the "slow lane", meaning those sites would load slowly and cause most users to give up using them, feeling forced to use whatever Virgin wants to push through their network."

I know we have a lot of English people on this site, therefore I'm guessing at least a few use Virgin as their ISP. I ask that everyone read the link below if you want to enjoy having freedom on the internet for much longer...

The very reason the internet is so great is because YOU choose want you want to view, but if we let Virgin get away with this, very soon the content on the internet will be controlled, just like television. This goes against the entire point of the internet, so please, if you use Virgin for anything at all, cancel their services (switch your TV/Internet provider to someone else!). Stop buying their products, or we may find the quality of the internet going down the drain. We need to show them that they can't take away the freedom of the internet.

Personally? I'm moving to Sky ASAP, I love the internet and I'm damned if I'll give my money to people who want to destroy it.

...and if all that doesn't persuade you to cancel virgin, or spread the word...this might (Not Safe for Work, open in privacy).

That's something the video mentioned, this involves everyone. Spread the word if you can because if Virgin get away with this, you can bet other ISPs will follow suit, including yours.

I went with Virgin (Ntl...) in the first place because Sky were taking over. but now I guess we have no choice.
Funny too, Virgin have (had) good internet, that's why we've stuck with them 'till now.

I was with telewest myself, they ran their internet beautifully, virgin hasn't improved a thing since they took over.
