Here we'll discuss, debate and throw around ideas concerning tactical implementation and strategies within the 360 clan. This is all in the name of improving and refining our teamwork.

I don't want rubbish posted here, it needs to be quality ideas, feel free to disagree with peoples ideas (after all it's the best way for us to all learn) but please ensure that it is all kept positive and please give detailed reasons as to why you disagree.

Our aim will be to catalogue the best points discussed and developed here, work them into our game and if successful, include the relevant material in a sort of [C4C] Tactical handbook. This piece of work will be ever growing and always up for change, with our aim to constantly improve upon ourselves.

My goal is to have a comprehensive index on all things game-related, a plan for all game types, neigh, multiple plans for all game types, written descriptions of what each role within our clan will involve and what we will expect of each member (I look to the Vets, Officers and skilled members to provide us with such a service) and much, much more.

*Note, only established Soldiers and above may contribute here. If you've never played with the clan you will have no idea what you are talking about.

So, what's on your mind?

Am I still considered a recruit? I dunno. Only played a few games so heh dunno. Anyways I think that the most important or at least one of the most important things is communication in game. How many times have u played a match with random people and no1 talks and you get raped. I tend to find when people talk you win. Again not much of a plan but heh.

I guess your lookin more for tactics for certain maps etc etc. I luv crash on tdm and always luv it when u get the 3 story and guard it both front and back whilst 1 or 2 guys creep around the outskirts pickin folk off.

I posted this in response to SIN's S&D question:

The smartest thing to do is have one sniper guy, 2 silenced SMG guys, and 2 Silenced Assault guys.

Sniper:
M40A3
M1911 w/ Silencer
Smoke
Claymore x2
Stopping Power
Iron Lungs

For defenseThis guy goes up high in a perch and looks over A or B, or both if you can. If he needs to, he can throw a smoke over his position so he can get set. His job is to take out any other snipers he sees, and to Claymore the entrance to his perch. Once he has taken out any opposing snipers, he should shift focus to defending. When he is the last man standing or when the bomb is planted, he should shoot a sniper bullet into the air (to trick the enemy) then run to the opposite side of where he was and go for the bomb with his pistol out. First throw a grenade at the bomb to get rid of any claymores/C4/enemies nearby. Then he goes in, crouched and stealthy.

For offense, he should not take the bomb. He takes a perch up high, claymores it with only one claymore, and picks off any defenders/snipers he can see. Then, after a minute or so, he should get down and help escort the bomb carrier (from a distance of course since he is sniping). While the bomb is being planted, he should throw a smoke and then find a perch watching the bomb and put a claymore on the entrance. Then he watches the bomb, and kills any enemies he sees. If he needs to, he can use his grenade now.

SMGs:
Mini-Uzi w/ Silencer
Desert Eagle
C4 x2
UAV Jammer
Dead Silence

For defense, they should place both C4s at one bombsite, then run away from the site to the opposite one and camp in a good position, with his back to the wall or hiding in the grass, waiting. If he sees an enemy, he should kill them and report if the enemy he killed has the bomb. If the bomb is planted at his bomb, he needs to kill the person planting. If it is detonated at the other bombsite, he should detonate his C4 quickly. The reason the 2 SMGers should guard the bomb that they do NOT have C4 on is so that if they die at that bomb, the other player can still detonate C4 over there to kill the bomb planter. The strategy works perfectly. If the bomb is planted and the planter not killed, then they should throw the nade into the bombsite, switch to the deagle, fire a few rounds, then run to the opposite side with their Uzi out, prepared for combat.

For offense, these 2 guys need to grab the bomb and then should wait together for 30 seconds until it is safe to venture out. Then, they should stick to CQ so not to get outranged. They should wait until the sniper has cleared the territory, and then advance inward. They need to stick together in pairs, one guy watching the left, the other the right. Finally, one SMGer plants as the other clears the area and plants his C4s on the bomb. Then they scurry off into a hiding spot.

If you can practice the whole setup a whole lot, these 2 guys might want to get into a private chat (for 360...not sure if PS3 has that) so the other knows when the other died. BUt, this has a downside since they cannot communicate with the Assaults/Sniper.

Assaults:
M16A4 (for one guy) and AK-47 (for the other) silenced.
Desert Eagle
Bomb Squad (for one guy) and Claymore (for the other)
Stopping Power
Dead Silence

For defense, they should plant their claymores guarding one bombsite, then run to a position that covers the path to the bombsite, not the bombsite itself (the SMGers have that). They should split up (only for defense though) to cover maximum territory. If one dies, then the other should no where the enemy killed him from. Basically, they are the frontline players who guard the middle.

For offense, these players must stick together. They are the scouts...they clear all the area for the SMG men to plant. One man has bomb squad, so he should tell the other man if he sees any C4/Claymores. Once they clear in the area, the SMGers should come in. They plant claymores at pathways leading to the bomb site, then runaway from the bombsite and watch for enemies from a distance.

This setup works very well.

That seems as if it could work really well.
so is there 2 snipers, 2 SMGers and 2 assault.?
or
1 sniper and another assault or SMGer.?
Anywayz it looks like a good set of tactics, but what if both the SMGers get taken out which assult will take hold of the bomb, the one with claymores or bombsquat. or wouldn't they go for the bomb?
what if the sniper gets taken out at the begining?
but if everything goes to plan it could be an easy win everytime.
 Undecided

Ok guys I have been thinking about Headquarters and some basic tactics that I thnk we need to use to ensure we win the majority of games.

Roles needed:

Spec Ops x 2 (these need to have UAV Jammer on as a minimum pref Silenced weapon too, would also suggest 3 x Stun/Flash)

Assault x 2 (Asst rilfes / SMGs with Claymores , would also be worth using Matrydom)

Heavy Gunner x1 (LMG with 3 x Frag, stopping power and Deep Impact)

Sniper x 1

Now I know that the above set up won't work for ALL maps but it does work for the majority.

Now the way I want this to work is the Spec Ops are the people who are going to be the 1st people at the HQ or around that area to defend it from incoming enemies. I want the UAV Jammer as most organised players tend to save UAV for when the new HQ comes online and this will give our Spec Ops guys a great advantage when the other team are advancing.
Assault guys are the people I want sitting in that HQ laying Claymores and generally keeping the other team out! The spec ops must keep moving round and keeping the other team off balance but the assault guys are to stay inside the HQ untill we get near to the end of the timer and then it's spread out and get to the new HQ before the other team.
Heavy Gunner - this role is mainly for use when we are trying to take back a HQ as quick as possible. The heavy gunner can spray the HQ with bullets and grenades and clear the room for the assault team to move in and reclaim the HQ. Also usefull as a back up when the other team have grouped into the HQ (to reclaim from us) as the heavy gunner will then be able to take out a group quicker.

Sniper - now I'm not a sniper but for this I really want a sniper who is able to camp but also move to a better sniping spot when needed. All I want the sniper to do is pick off the other team as they approach the HQ. Very usefull role as on HQ it's rare for the other team to go off and hunt down a single sniper when they need to capture the HQ.

That lays out the basics of how I would want a HQ team to be layed out. I'd like as much input on the Perks and roles as possible. Does anyone want to think about how to work this for specific maps? When I get time I'll try and lay out some advanced tactics.
